Release of MurderDance Klick’s 1997 Full-Length Prefaces Relaunch
Originally active during the mid-1990’s, MurderDance Klick appeared ready to lure and entice countless victims with the release of their 3-song single “Sixteen Down” in 1997, which was followed by an appearance on Psykoziz Records’ ‘Tentacles of Submission’ compilation later that same year. While founding members Joe Yutsus and John Seput tripled that output for a subsequent release, by 1998 John's relocation would quietly end the project.
Fast forward to 2016 - - After 18 years Joe has agreed to resurrect MDKlick for an upcoming appearance on Vol.2 of Sun Serpent’s Split Series. While preparing for the release of this brand new material, he has gone back to the vault to unearth those early recordings that never got to see the light of day… until now.
Along with newly remastered versions of “16down”, “Temptation” and “Chemical Inbound” from the 1997 single, the new full-length “Burn My World” also includes five previously unreleased tracks recorded during MDKlick’s initial tenure. While originally drawing influence from industrial acts like Front 242 and Skinny Puppy, Joe is quick to point out: “Our sound was more guitar driven with synth layered on top, as opposed to little or no live guitar which was the status quo for industrial music at the time.”
In addition to an appearance on the upcoming Split Series release with 40armboy, Joe is also preparing new material for a sophomore album due sometime in late 2017. In the meantime, drench yourself in the musical masochism that is MurderDance Klick!
