Power Plant Resurges With DCZ Reissue
Power Plant's final album, 2007's "Dead Computerized Zombies", encompassed all they had achieved up until that point, even filming a video for the title track. But after twelve years and several self-released albums Power Plant quietly dissolved when vocalist Francois Fatras departed, followed shortly after by bassist Roy Prichard.
Instead of carrying on with a new vocalist and bassist, co-founding brothers Robert and Kevin Nichols decided to let Power Plant rest in peace, with DCZ serving as their epitaph. Now, nearly a decade after its initial release, DCZ will be reissued on Sun Serpent Records with new package design to celebrate their swan song.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Rob explains the reason to update the album art. "Our original idea was for the logo to be green," he says, "but the artist had painted it red instead, so we took it in stride and released it that way. But now, with the reissue, we decided to present it the way we originally intended."
